Linux/Unix ホストには、ベンダーが提供するパッチが利用できない脆弱性の影響を受ける複数のパッケージがインストールされています。- GIMP の file-fits プラグインに欠陥が見つかりました。FITS 画像ファイルを処理する際、プラグインは幅と高さの符号付き 32 ビット整数を使用してメモリ割り当てサイズを計算します。細工されたファイルが両方の値を大きな値に設定すると、積が 2^31 を超えてオーバーフローが発生し、ヒープベースのバッファ割り当てが小さくなります。この整数オーバーフローの問題により、cfitsio がその後バッファにピクセルの完全な行を書き込むと、ヒープベースのバッファオーバーフローが発生し、メモリ破損が発生して、任意のコード実行またはサービス拒否につながる可能性があります。(CVE-2026-66758)
