SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 カーネルが更新されて、さまざまなバグやいくつかのセキュリティの問題が修正されました。また、安定版（stable）リリース 2.6.27.25 にも更新されました。以下のセキュリティ問題が解決されました：
- splice(2)システムコールでのローカルなサービス拒否の問題が修正されました。（CVE-2009-1961）
- 大きなパケットの受信時におけるr8169ネットワークカードのクラッシュが修正されました。（CVE-2009-1389）
- Linuxカーネルのe1000ドライバーのdrivers/net/e1000/e1000_main.cのe1000_clean_rx_irq関数における整数アンダーフロー、Linuxカーネルのe1000eドライバー、7.5.5より前のIntel Wired Ethernet（別名e1000）によって、リモートの攻撃者が、細工されたフレームサイズによってサービス拒否（パニック）を引き起こす可能性があります。（CVE-2009-1385）
- Linux カーネルの NFS クライアント実装における fs/nfs/dir.c の nfs_permission 関数が、atomic_open が利用可能な場合に、実行（別名 EXEC または MAY_EXEC）許可ビットをチェックしません。これによりローカルユーザーは、NFSv4 ファイルサーバーのファイルで実証されているように、許可をバイパスしてファイルを実行することができます。
