    Ziming Zhang discovered that the netfilter subsystem in the Linux kernel did not properly validate sets     with multiple ranged fields. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service or execute     arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-1972)

    It was discovered that the USB Gadget file system interface in the Linux kernel contained a use-after-free     vulnerability. A local attacker could use this to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly     execute arbitrary code. (CVE-2022-24958)

    It was discovered that the EMS CAN/USB interface implementation in the Linux kernel contained a double-     free vulnerability when handling certain error conditions. A local attacker could use this to cause a     denial of service (memory exhaustion). (CVE-2022-28390)

If this is not the case, they     assume that a following removal of the granted access will always succeed, which is not true in case the     backend has mapped the granted page between those two operations. As a result the backend can keep access     to the memory page of the guest no matter how the page will be used after the frontend I/O has finished.

This will result in a Denial of Service (DoS) situation of the guest which     can be triggered by the backend.
