CyberScoop examines the dual-use nature of AI in cybersecurity as autonomous hacking tools gain traction among attackers. Tenable CPO Eric Doerr elaborates on Tenable Hexa AI, and it's unique defensive advantage: it works with different commercial LLMs while delivering consistent results. Tenable Hexa AI is meant to ensure that whichever model or models become dominant, Tenable will be able to integrate it into their tech stack and protect their most sensitive assets from unintended behaviors. That frees up the LLM to do what it does best: find vulnerable code and establish attacker pathways for exploiting them.

Jason Merrick, SVP Product at Tenable, discusses what the wave of cybersecurity consolidation means for businesses, including how boards are reassessing cyber risk in light of fewer, more powerful security platforms, what investors and regulators are beginning to expect from enterprise cyber resilience, and whether consolidation is becoming a defining feature of how large organisations manage digital risk in 2026.

CRN named Tenable to the Top 20 Coolest Security Operations, Risk and Threat Intellifence Companies of 2026, highlighting the debut of the Tenable One AI Exposure which unifies AI discovery, management, prioritization and governance of AI risks.

Dark Reading published a feature profileon the launch of Tenable One AI Exposure, which addresses the AI Exposure Gap by unifying AI protection, discovery and usage governance across the enterprise – including SaaS platforms, cloud services, APIs and agents.

The U.S. General Services Administration signed a OneGov agreement with Tenable to provide federal agencies with discounted access to Tenable’s FedRAMP-authorized cloud security solutions. Tenable Co-CEO Steve Vintz said the partnership will help agencies “stay ahead of evolving threats, strengthen resilience, and secure the cloud-first future of government as part of a holistic approach to exposure management,” enabling more cost-effective cloud security and risk prioritization.

Ahead of his Black Hat MEA 2025 keynote, Tenable Co-CEO Mark Thurmond outlined why traditional security models are breaking under tool sprawl and AI-driven threats, and positioned exposure management as the shift from reactive “firefighting” to proactive “fireproofing,” enabling organiations to prioritize and fix the exposures that matter most across cloud, identity, IT and OT.
