HP Operations Manager i and Business Service Manager contain a flaw due to the bundling of the third-party Adobe LiveCycle Data Services, which contains an XXE (Xml eXternal Entity) injection flaw in flex-messaging-core.jar that is triggered during the parsing of XML data. The issue is due to an incorrectly configured XML parser accepting XML external entities from an untrusted source that may allow a remote attacker can gain access to potentially sensitive information.
Solution
HP has released patches for some versions that address this issue:
- HP Operations Manager i 10.0 IP3 and 10.01 IP2 (or upgrade to 10.10)
